Successful November for Dance Marathon Programs

The past few weeks have been an incredible success for many Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs! Here’s just a few examples of the great work being done #ForTheKids!

Cause Connection:

During their Dance Marathon event, OttoTHON at Syracuse University walked all of their dancers over to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital to perform their Morale Dance for the kids watching from their windows.

Having so much fun performing our morale dance for the kids at Upstate!!! #Ottothon2016

State DM at Indiana State University walked a red wagon around a fountain on their campus for 9 hours and 47 minutes to symbolize the 9,477 hospital visits each year at Riley Hospital for Children from children from Vigo and surrounding counties.

When one of their Miracle kids was back in the hospital after complications from a surgery, Vanderbilt Dance Marathon got their campus involved in a #CourageForCaleb campaign. They posted photos, added graphics, and tagged students on their Facebook album to spread the campaign across social media.

Fundraising:

Remember when we posted that the Mercer Lacrosse team had set an ambitious goal of raising $15,000 for Mercer University Miracle this fall? Well, not only did the team raise $16,438, they also stopped by the hospital to hang out with the patients.

Thank you to the Mercer Men's Lacrosse Team for presenting their check to the Children's Hospital this afternoon for $16,438, and for doing arts and crafts with the kids!

With a number of large philanthropic organizations on campus, UGA Miracle at the University of Georgia decided that, instead of competing with the other organizations, they could all work together to support their causes. This fall, they hosted their 3rd annual Philanthropy Phormal as a fundraising and awareness event benefitting five different philanthropic organizations on campus.

TOMORROW. Join us for Philanthropy Phormal. You do not want to miss this. Tickets: http://bit.ly/2gebMqN
